Notes

This is from YouTuber Z Shad, who seems to be a taper from around this area by the looks of his videos. This recording was uploaded on May 21st, 2009 and I've always wondered if they were the taper. By looking at the comments, it sounds as though this was the first time they had seen NIN. So it's a good base to go off of. This is the only tape I have ever seen out there - and only on YT. Here is what Z Shad said on the youtube video which the link can be found below: "This is the whole NIN performance from the first ever Lollapalooza show in Phoenix, AZ (1991). It contains the super cool Now Im Nothing intro leading into two classics in which they experience equipment failure. After the second song they smashed their gear and left the stage. This show was in the middle of an AZ, summer (HOT!!) and from what MTV (when they were a music channel) reported; the heat damaged their delicate sequencers. Its an interesting listen for a fan and for those who were there a memorably truncated performance." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3UfAlKEOvbc Would love to get in contact with z shad. If you are out there, would love to transfer this tape properly.
