Trent: TY! How are you tonight! TYVM for allowing us to perform here for you. Maybe a year ago, we were talking about if we wanted to tour or not... Thinking about if we thought like it, or if it meant something, but uh... I've been so fucking angry lately. And so just overwhelmingly disgusted... I really appreciate that I can come up here and fucking scream for two hours and get it out of my system. TY for the opportunity. I can't help uh... I won't steer away from the obvious thing. I can't help, but it's [??] to talking about in Washington, D.C., but... The last time we were here, Atticus and I, a couple of years ago we were invited to the White House, because they were showing a film Before The Flood that we scored, and uh... The intent was that it open some people's eyes up and remind people, that there's a thing called "climate change" and the world could fucking end pretty soon. But, it didn't work out they way we kinda hoped it would. So anyway... Here's a somewhat appropriate song that we had the real privilege of working with a hero of ours on, a few years ago. This is a song by David Bowie.

Taper's Notes: This is my third time seeing and recording Nine Inch Nails and I really love their live show. The Jesus and Mary Chain were on tour with Nine Inch Nails and this is the first of the bands' two-night engagement at The Anthem in Washington DC. I did record JAMC as well on this night, however I did not attend night two. Both nights were opened by "Kite Base," whom I did not record. Special thanks to Daphne for standing in line in the rain and cold for tickets as soon as they went on sale! And thanks for standing with me at the show :)

Notes

Jim Powers has filmed other Nine Inch Nails over the years and his footage is epic. I'd really love to get my hands on the raw footage prior to youtube encoding. This is some of the best footage from the 2018 tour. Most of the set was recorded during the night. But some songs were missed. Filmed from the balcony but there are some great close ups and the picture is clear!
