I Can't Give Everything Away
(David Bowie cover)Trent: TY! TYVM. That song reminds me of San Francisco. [??] and Survival Research Laboratories, the good old days. TYVM for coming to see us tonight. I don't know if there are any such a thing as new fans. If there are, TY for coming. If you're an old fan, thanks for coming on the journey with us, man. I appreciate it. It freaks me out to think about how much time has gone by and how different the world is. I'm grateful that you allow us to play music here, so we can stay sane, and hopefully... that's good for you too. TY. We wanna take a second and... We gonna play a couple songs by our hero, somebody that inspired us to make music, that helped us understand what music could be and how wide it could me and how much it could change the world, and also someone that I had the privilege of getting to know and helped me stay alive. This is a couple song by David Bowie.

Notes
TIMP has taped NIN a lot in the past and he has come out of retirement to do a few shows for the nin live archive traveling rig that has been going around the country. I am really happy to have him doing this. I gave him my backup rig instead of the 717 for these shows, as he has previous experiences. The run in San Francisco may be my favorite tapes of the tour. Really good recordings and the setlists are well balanced. For the most part, the crowd is isolated from the recording and Trent's vocals are near perfect and crystal clear. The Great Destroyer from this night is an absolute assault on the ears. Enjoy the recording.

Taper's notes, "Easily the best show I saw of 2018! Shows like this are the reason I tape and make the effort to get it done, Dedicated to the taper who taped my first NIN show in 2000 at the Cow Palace thanks for perserving a memory that night!Great show I was in the back on of the sold out floor. I picked up some talkers (less than I noticed while taping)."

Notes
A great all around recording from this show. Video sometimes gets out of focus because of the fog but the 1080p footage is crisp with some great stage shots/close ups. Audio is also crystal clear. Big thanks to RockTheMullet. A treat to have such a great audio/video pairing!
