We are very happy to be here, and thanks for uh... putting up with us. We're like... We're like the guest that wasn't invited here in the first place, and now you can't fucking get rid of us. But we're happy to... happy to help out. I was thinking, um... Somehow, it's been... let's see, thirty-- thirty two, thirty three years ago? Somehow... I came to Boston for the first time and recorded a couple songs in a real recording studio for the first time, Syncro Sound on Newbury Street... [cheers] I picked that studio because I loved The Cars and they had a place here, and thought, that'd be fucking cool to go where The Cars recorded, man. If you had told me then that anyone would even have heard those songs, or that anybody would give a shit about them years and years later... I would've... I would've never believed you. So we're grateful to be here. If you'd told me at any point that we are the "reliable" band [laughter] that can be called out in a crisis, I would've told you you're out of your fucking mind. But uh, here we are. So if anybody has a birthday party, or bar mitzvah... Need someone to look after the plants on vacation, you know? Look us up. We're here for you. This is one of the songs I recorded all those years ago, here in the town.
