Was recently back in San Diego for a wedding and I made a few trips to pick up some miniDV and HDV masters up in Los Angeles. Huge haul and I'm excited to be working on it. Just be coincidence, TIMP had gotten his master tapes back from his friend that has been holding onto them at the same time. Back in 2010, I got a lot of his masters from transfer that had been done long ago. They were done through the line out/headphone jack and I knew that doing an optical transfer could optimize the recordings. I had just told him to keep me in the loop with/when he ever was able to get his tapes back. To get back to the story, he was kind enough to bring them over to me so I can transfer them once I get back home! Huge! There was a lot of tapes that I did not have, including this one. Tape sounds excellent! Again, huge thanks for TIMP allowing me to take his master tapes to work on. Great to revisit these tapes again and get the proper transfers of them! At this point, this is the first time this SF night 1 recording has been released. PS - MD flip comes before Wish.

Good recording, levels are overloaded at the beginning as they were too hot. Adjusted soon after. I had been talking with TIMP to get his MD masters almost 10 years ago. But they were with a friend. I knew I would see them one day and finally in February, I was able to acquire them to work on! The previous transfers were all done headphone out on the minidisc player. I have taken these and done a full digital transfer using my optical out on the MD deck I have. It has made these recordings sound better and it's amazing to have the best transfers available to preserve these recordings. Great recording done by TIMP this night. MD flip comes right after The Hand That Feeds and cuts a bit into Starfuckers Inc.

Good recording, very clear and crowd is not really apparent on the recording. UPDATE: TIMP told me that he recorded this show when he was sending me all copies of his old masters back in about 2009. At the time, he did not have this recording and I hope that one day I'll be able to transfer all of the master minidiscs. At this point in time the masters are with someone else. But let's fast forward to today, almost 20 years since the show.. He received this master recording again from a CDR copy he gave to a friend who ripped the CDRs so it could be archived! The recording was titled, "Sinful Pleasures." At the end of the concert, there are a few bonus tracks that were included in the CDs. I wanted to cross reference this recording with the unknown DAT recording that was source 1 for this show. Turns out, it was his recording all along. I have updated the fileset to the new rip as well as update all the info here. I believe this was TIMP's first concert recording. Not bad for the first time. Great to preserve this on the archive!
