This is just the center cam that is in the 2 cam mix that is also on the archive. It's a really good tape and certainly looks like a low gen of this recording on DVD.
Notes
La Mer is missing from the recording.

This is an unknown video recording and the only source that circulates from this date (2021 added the audio source). Recorded from the left rear of the venue, picture is not obstructed and has some decent zoom ins. Audio is also average.

Thank you to John W. for sending this over for me to transfer. I had some issues with my NTSC VHS unit during this time and had it for a bit longer than anticipated to get some repairs done. Once I transferred this, I could tell this was a low gen tape. John told me he bought this at a local MA record shop. Which is more than likely, the filmer sold this tape to them. YouTube may have done a bit of compression to the video, as the original file looks good. From other copies I have seen, this does look a bit better too. I took the audio and edited it in adobe premiere by reducing some of the hiss and amplifying the audio to -1 db. Overall, happy with the transfer of this tape. If you have any information on this tape, or possibly filmed it. Please get in contact.
Notes
Sin is cut and this looks to be an mp3 source (spectral analysis). This is actually the audio ripped from the video below. Weird because there are clicks between each track. I will hopefully rip a better version of it from the new 1st gen VHS copy below.

MAD contacted me and told me that they had a DVD of the Montreal performance you see here, as it was not on the archive and actually it was the first time I had seen it. He told me that it was sourced from the master copy onto VHS. The filmer was a friend of a friend and they don't have any more information than what was given at the time. You can tell the video is low gen. Very clean and clear! The beginning of the concert is recorded from the right side of the stage and a bit obstructed by the lighting. The filmer then moved after "Terrible Lie" to the rear-center of the venue and the video starts up again in the middle of "Sin." The audio recording that you see on the archive I can now confirm is from this video. A great video recording and so pumped to have such a great copy on the archive!
Notes
From master tape, never got the equipment info and drawing a blank on the taper's name. He taped a lot around the buffalo area in 99-02.
Notes
Terrible Lie fades in.
Notes
This recording is for collectors and for someone who might have been at the show. The low-end blows out and overloads most of the songs.
Notes
Incomplete recording, misses Pinion and the intro of "Somewhat Damaged"

Big thanks to Tapeworm48 for transferring this DAT clone of the master DAT. They received this recording during the Fragility Tour. This is one of the many recordings I have been searching for, for quite some time. Great to see it finally on the archive. Great tape. A pretty heavy performance as well while listening back to it!
Notes
This sounds a lot like JB's source above, but it is different after you take a few listens to compare. Also a good recording from this date.

To my knowledge, this wasn't released until April of 2018 thanks to Tapeworm48. This is a DAT Master > CD copy. TW obtained this tape back in the early 2000's and the taper's name was not remembered. If anyone can fill me in with that, it would be great! The tape itself is wonderful and one of just a few tapes I have heard with Oade mics. 'Somewhat Damaged' on this recording fades in. But other than that, it is a complete recording.

A pretty bad video recording from the right rear of the venue. This recording misses the first two songs and starts with Terrible Lie. The encore has no audio at all. The audio itself in this DVD is very low and has a lot of hiss. Another VHS copy or from the master would probably make this a bit better.

Notes
This was transferred from the master cassette by Rudy. So big thanks to him for transferring the tapes. Average recording.
Notes
This is not the same source as above. This is a superior recording than the top, but it is incomplete... Missing the encore as well as a bit of the intro. Also, this is a lossy source. Most likely MP3, but there is a chance it also could be MD sourced.
Notes
Added to the archive initially on May 31,2013. This upgrade is a perfect rip from the bootleg CDs that were purchased off eBay. Big thanks to JW for ripping the discs. The first version of this recording was an unknown rip and there was horrible static during The Frail/The Wretched and Head Like a Hole. Now it's been confirmed the first version of source 2 was just a bad rip. Title of this bootleg is hilarious. Was made in Quebec, but not sure if these were made by the taper or not. This is a very good recording for the first show of the tour.
Notes
Incomplete recording, misses "Head Like a Hole." Average recording.
Notes
Heavy on the bass, Head Like a Hole fades in.
Notes
One of the best recordings I have ever heard. Sometimes the bass is a little overpowering, but the crowd is hardly even there. I hope we can learn a little bit more about this recording and who taped this. I would really want to know what they used. This recording was highlighted on RITC's Recording of the Week.
