Notes
First time seeing NIN in 18 years. Though I haven't really kept up with NIN since 2009 (their live peak IMO), whatever bits of post-hiatus material that I've heard is pretty good. Good performance, but it felt somewhat mechanical. The band sounds pretty tight, but watching Alessandro on bass felt a little bit like watching Michael Jordan play baseball (he's fine on bass FWIW, he's just that good of a synth composer). This is a pretty good capture of the evening and probably one of my top 3 arena recordings. The audience wasn't to disruptive after the first couple of quiet songs. I was pretty meh about the FOH mix, which sounded pretty over-compressed, especially on the drums. Robin was also lower in the mix than what I would've liked. I assume Josh is still learning the ropes on a lot of the rotational songs, so this is more of the same in terms of the setlist for this leg of the tour. Still a good recording to grab for the uninitiated or the collectors.
