This was my second (and last) show of the Peel It Back tour. I attended and recorded the Denver show as well. This version includes the full Boys Noize set. I was surprised to see religious protesters outside of the show. At first, it really pissed me off, but then I was really amused that even 30+ years later, NIN is still considered to be a threat to these nutjobs. A guy behind me (with a good set of lungs) started a counter protest by yelling 'God is dead!' Myself and a few others continued the counter with 'And no one cares!' By the the time we got to 'I'll see you there!' the entirety of the crowd waiting to get in had joined in. It was an excellent communal experience! Afterr the Denver show when I listened back to the recording on the Tascam, it made me think that the recording was blown out. So, I knocked down the recording level to Low settings for the St. Paul show (See my notes on the Denver show). This was a mistake as I had to boost the volume levels tremendously. While I am very impressed with capabilities of the Tascam DR-10L Pro, it sounds slightly fuzzy to me due to all of the amplification. Still a decent sounding recording (in my opinion). The show was fantastic and I loved the communal experience that some of us had before hand. While the recording wasn't as good as the Denver show, I feel that it is still a great representation of this show. Enjoy!
Notes
This was the first time that I had been able to see Nine Inch Nails since the Tension tour in 2013. Since they hadn't come to any cities near me, I decided to go to them. I was at the St. Paul show as well. This was my first recording with the Tascam DR-10L Pro and my first time recording NIN (my favorite band). This version includes the full Boys Noize set. When I listened back to the recording on the Tascam, it made me think that the recording was blown out. So, I made adjustments for the St. Paul show. See those notes for details. When I looked at the file in Audacity, everything was fine. The show was fantastic and the recording might be a personal best. Enjoy!
