Tampa is my last show until next week for the last two in LA. It was a slower day in terms of travel from ATL to Tampa and got to work on tapes before jetting off. Tampa was the first show they actually had screen printed posters at and I was able to score a poster outside the arena. Hung out with my boy Matt from DMLiveWiki prior to the show and was really nice to catch up with him! Also my long time friend, JD who I have been transferring his DAT collection for what seems to be a decade! Side of the stage is definitely the best place to be for recording audio imo. Sound was very good from where I sat and the speakers were directly in front of me. Standard setlist that I have seen for most of this tour. I hope to see Somewhat Damaged at one of the final LA shows. See you in LA next week.

I hadn't seen Nine Inch Nails live since 2014, and they did not disappoint. Solid set list, energetic and well-rehearsed performance, great sound, and especially great lighting. It was really cool to experience 'Mr. Self Destruct', 'The Perfect Drug', and 'Burn' live. I was avoiding any set list spoilers, so these were a total surprise. Pretty respectful and quiet crowd around me as well, so my recording came out pretty good to my ears, other than the reverberation from the venue's acoustics which also causes noticeable slap-back in the right channel on certain songs. This recording is free from the slight distortion of bass like some of my other recent recordings, thanks to microphones utilizing the 4.7k mod. It's still maybe a bit bass heavy despite some light EQ and compression, but you can adjust to your preference using your own EQ. I try not to go too heavy-handed with permanent adjustments to audio. Two amusing notes: there was a guy on the floor wearing a T-shirt that said 'SAD MUSIC FOR HORNY PEOPLE', I included a mediocre photo of this. And before 'Burn', the guy in front of me yelled 'Supernaut' - how obscure. I'm also super happy to have had the opportunity to meet up and hang out with Ryan from NIN Live before and after the concert! Thanks also to Austin for attending the concert with me and assisting with equipment. I recorded Boys Noize as well
