Recording lacks bass, but if someone were to EQ this thing it would sound pretty good. Not a lot of crowd noise to begin with.

Only about 1,500 people were in attendance for this rehearsal show. The only way to get tickets was through KROQ. The taper snuck into this show and got in about the end of "The Wretched."

The PC62 is the stock mic that comes with the WM-D3. Great rig and a great recording. I was able to transfer this from Mr. Fang's tape collection and this is a first gen. tape! One of the best performances of "Eraser" I can think of from this tour. The end of "The Downward Spiral" and the beginning of "Wish" is cut due to the tape flip.

Unbelievable to have this tape surface after 24 years. Thank you to Acetboy for getting in contact to have it uploaded to the archive. There is a video that circulates from this date as well, I just don't have it. But this is the first audio source from this show that has come into circulation. A very good tape from 1994. Sadly, the tape is incomplete at the end. Probably due to running out of tape.

Back in 2014, Sal had messaged me on Twitter saying he had taped two SF shows in the early 90s after I had released a 1st gen copy of this recording, here is a sample of the old version of this to compare how massive an upgrade it is. . Took some time to find the tapes and I never followed up until I started going back through my emails during quarantine to follow any leads. Sal kindly obliged to send me the tapes to transfer for the archive! This tape is amazing. What I feel is a massive upgrade in quality from the first gen transfer. The sound is a lot clearer and more range. After Sin there is a break because Trent had thrown his mic stand and hit drummer Chris Vrenna in the head and started to bleed. You can see the footage of it in the NIN video, Closure. Sal stops recording during the pause to save tape. Tape flip is during the beginning of Suck. Big thanks to Sal for sending the tapes and allowing me to transfer them for the archive. I am super pumped about this upgrade.

Received this in the inbox today and am so stoked to add this one: This is the first show that Nine Inch Nails ever performed in Europe. BIG THANKS to Smores for finding this one. I believe he mentioned this a few years ago to me and I kinda forgot about it. Amazing to see this one. Terrible Lies cuts into it already in progress and it's definitely the Now I'm Nothing > Terrible Lie version. They opened for Guns N Roses over in Europe. Someone on the archive told me that they only sold one t shirt at this show. Don't know if that is true or not, would love a source. I took the recording and retracked it. Also there are some mic adjustments during Terrible Lie that has the mics cut out a bit. So I swapped the channels at a few points that does not change the sound at all. Most of the static was less than a quarter of a second and not noticeable once swapped to mono. Thanks to Stefan for recording! Always amazing to see tapes be unearthed so long after they have happened. Again, if you have any old Nine Inch Nails recordings I would love to hear from you. Any format is possible to transfer and I'd love to work with you in getting these preserved onto the NIN live archive. Email me at info@ninlive.com

Sal kindly obliged to send me the tapes to transfer for the archive! This recording from 1991 was the same that is on the archive now, but from the master tape. I also transferred the previous one and I will say that my transfer methods have gotten better since then. The tape ran a bit slow, so it was sped up in audition by 4.9%. It sounds absolutely stellar. Big thanks to Sal for sending the tapes and allowing me to transfer them for the archive.

This is by far the best audience tape from the supporting tour of Jesus & Mary Chain. Great recording and no crowd noise what so ever. Highlighted on RITC's NIN Recording of the Week. This also is the same recording as on the silver CD "Industiral Iguanas."

This is the same recording as from the taper in source 1 on the archive. This is the Silver CD that was pressed years before the master tape copy surfaced. So obviously, the quality does not match the master tape. This source is just on here for archiving purposes. I highly suggest Source 1 from the original taper for this.
