Recordings
Notes
One of the best recordings I have ever heard. Sometimes the bass is a little overpowering, but the crowd is hardly even there. I hope we can learn a little bit more about this recording and who taped this. I would really want to know what they used. This recording was highlighted on RITC's Recording of the Week.
Notes
An average recording from the Fragility Tour. There is some clipping here and there from the audience cheers. The most notable part about this show is this is (to my knowledge at least) the only show that Trent sings the lyrics to "The New Flesh." Which is pretty cool. This is an unknown rip of the audio from the video recording of the show. Even though this is from a video recording and on the archive we don't like to have audio rips of video, we will keep it just because this was widely traded back in the early 2000s.
Notes
This recording is very good, with good sound. It is incomplete because it misses "The New Flesh/Pinion" as well as there is a cut at the beginning of "Into The Void." At the end of this source there is also some diginoise. Not sure if it's on the DAT master as this copy is from a 1st gen DAT tape. Not sure who recorded this, or with what but we would definitely like an upgrade of this source from the master tape if anyone has it.
Notes
Sound is very distant.
Notes
Not sure what Gavin recorded with. Good recording.
Notes
Thanks to Sam for sending this from the UK. Listening back to this from the other sources, it is definitely a different source. This was purchased from a bootleg market. The recording was copied onto a Mitsubishi cassette tape and I think this is where most of the quality is lost. There is a lot of hiss because the quality of the tape. I tried to remove it as much as I could using noise analysis. I think it came out pretty decent. Few songs fade out, or fade in at the beginning. Awesome to have another source for this show.
Notes
Average Recording.
Notes
None.
Notes
First performance of Reptile on the Fragility Tour. Misses Sin, March of the Pigs, Piggy, La Mer, The Great Below, and The Way Out is Through.
Notes
Good recording, sometimes a bit heavy on the kick bass. But very clear recording. Highlighted on RITC's NIN Recording of the Week.
Notes
None.
Notes
Great recording, just listen to the sample above. No other recording information for this show is available, only that it was recorded on an MD recorder.
Notes
First night of the Fragility Tour v1.0 and it was captured in great quality.
Notes
Average recording. Mono source.
Notes
A fantastic recording and sadly incomplete. Starts during the NIN/Bowie portion. This is a suspected DAT source. If anyone has the full recording, please get in contact.
Notes
Big thanks to Smores for sending me over all of his Nine Inch Nails cassette tapes! A lot of fantastic gems like this one are in the lot! First time I have seen the NIN set from the Seattle show. This is from a 2nd gen cassette tape. The tape itself is good, just to note that "Terrible Lie" fades in and the tape flip comes during "Down In It." If anyone has any information on who recorded this tape, and with what, please get in contact! This is the 16/44 version, which can be burnt to CD. If you want the 24-bit version, it is available on the NIN Drive.
Notes
Incomplete, "Gave Up" fades in. Really, an unlistenable recording. Everything sounds distorted. This came as two long wave files. I assume were transferred from a cassette. Fade ins/outs at the end of the tapes. I went ahead and tracked out the show.
Notes
Just got an upgrade to this source from smores. This new version is from a 3rd gen cassette tape. The other source we had was unknown and was not transferred well. The old version was missing "Subterraneans" and sounded muddy. The new version sounds good! A very nice source that is complete with all the NIN/Bowie songs. This is the 16/44 version and can be burnt straight to CD. If you are looking for the 24-bit version, that is available on the NIN Drive.
Notes
Incomplete recording. This is the NIN/Bowie portion, starting at "Subterraneans." Includes the rest of the Bowie set as well. Recording is average. If anyone has the full NIN set, please get in .
Notes
Incomplete probably due to it being a silver CD so they omitted some tracks. "Spaceboy" Fades out and "Hurt" is missing completely.
