Recordings
Notes
Anonymous has sent me another recording that they have done in the past. Big thank you for sending over another source for this show. They sat pretty far up near the top of Jones Beach for this show, hence why it sounds a bit distant/muffled. But still a decent tape to listen back to.

Notes
This was taken from the rehearsal of the Grammy Awards. This is uncut and has the full performance of both songs with no ads! The sound is much better than the live broadcast, in my opinion. They add crowd noise into this mix, as this was done in an empty arena. Amazing quality and I know that the fans of both music groups are happy to see the full, uncut performance.

This is ripped straight from the video of the rehearsal that is also available on the archive. It was in Dolby 5.1 initially, but I converted it to stereo and 44.1 so it can be burned to CD. I also cut out the introduction from LL Cool J so that it's just the song. For the Dolby 5.1 version, I left it "as is." So there is the introduction.

Notes
This is a decent recording, sadly the settings on the tinybox was not what the taper wanted and the recording is a bit brick-walled in certain spots. blg did a good job EQ'ing the tape and it's definitely a good source. Taper was in the vicinity of 'DigitalChaos' source as you can hear the same screamer as on their tape but not as apparent because of the mics used by anonymous. Taper said that the crowd was pretty much awful at this show.

Added to the archive November 2013, at the moment this is not available for download. It will be shortly. This is one of the best sounding recordings I have ever heard. The first few seconds of "Somewhat Damaged" were not recorded.

One from my own archives that I have not gotten around to adding. This was given to me by an anonymous source and they've done a bunch of recordings around the NorCal area. Big thanks for them sharing this out. Can't believe it took me so long to get it out to the masses. Tape is rather excellent. As many of these sources from this date on the NINJA tour.

I have received this show from the taper as an anonymous source after posting it here back in September 2019. This is the full recording. But I have been requested not to release it at this time.

I had released this footage before prior to it being added to the archive. This is private footage captured at the rehearsal concert from the now famous Nine Inch Nails "Lights in the Sky Tour." Arguably one of the best visual spectacles you will see for a concert. This is about 30+ minutes of songs throughout the night. This is the only source from the show to date. Only about 300 or so fans/friends/family were allowed into the arena and fans got in by winning tickets from a treasure hunt that was through The Slip album google earth download file. The sound is very good from the cam, and also the video was in HD. In 2020, I finally received the HD file of this recording. It is now available for download here. This is really good. Big thanks to thisoneisonus.org for hooking it up with this footage. You will notice that "The Hand That Feeds" visuals are very different from what you saw on tour. They scrapped the idea as they thought it was too confusing. It was ok to release this film. But the tapers wanted to remain anonymous.

Another fantastic recording done by anonymous. This recording was finally released in September 2014. Big thanks to BLG for digging out this DAT master from a friends house to give this recording a proper home here at the archive!

This source is complete. It was torrented in 2005 with the taper information "stealth" with no equipment info. In 2013, someone was kind enough to send me a copy from the master tape with all the info. The taper would like to remain anonymous. Both nights from the Warfield were taped by this person. You can read about the mixed information I had for these recordings on the 04/27/2005 page.

Notes
This recording has been an oddity for me. Just because this was released back in 2005 with little to no information on it. The text files said it was recorded by "stealth" but had no equipment info. Someone emailed me in 2010 saying that this was probably their recording and gave me their equipment info. But I wasn't too sure by it until I heard a copy from them. I never received it... Finally in 2013 I got this version and since both tapers would go to shows together, stand in the same spot, and tape with basically the EXACT equipment I needed some time to listen to both tapes to see if they were in fact different. They were not different. Both versions of this recording just have a different EQ. As you can hear in the beginning of "The Wretched" there is a volume boost right after the notes start hitting. So, unfortunately we do not have source 4 that is listed below. But I am glad to finally resolve this and get a definitive conclusion as to what source it is!

I just happened to PM someone on DIME about a rig I've seen in a city that NIN had been in and wondered if they had taped them. As it usually pans out, they didn't. BUT, they had a DAT master transfer of this show on their hard drive just sitting there! I was pretty stoked to hear about it. Luckily, keytowhy was very kind and sent over the raw transfer! Was looking forward to working on it, but didn't realize the amount I would do on it. It seemed that this recording suffered from a bad mic connection, or it wasn't all the way plugged in. Throughout the night in the left channel there were many clicks/pops that happened. But thankfully, I was able to remove almost all of them! Which turned this tape into a pretty stellar one! Of course, there are one or two moments where there are consecutive runs of pops which affects the channel. But again, maybe once or twice after listening to this over three times. You can download this and read all of the repair I did to this recording. This is source 2 on the archive and the 2nd source to be released from this show. I would say this is the better of the two recordings on the archive at this point. Some interesting banter pre show and then there is one guy who really wants The Frail and The Great Below right before each song. Ha! Big thanks to the taper and keytohwy for sending this over! Super great to have this for the archive!
