Thanks again to FULLMETAL for sending me over his master DATs to be transferred. This is an upgrade as the intro to the show is longer, starting at the first basslines of "The New Flesh." Big thanks to BLG to work a little bit on the recording. I have a 717 myself and when transferring this recording, the waveform looked to have the same characteristics as that when the 717 is plugged in via line-in but the mic is not turned on. I looked at the transfer FULLMETAL did over a decade ago and there seems to be a bunch of work done on the transfer. Lots of clipping of levels etc. etc. BLG looked the transfer over and did his best to create a normal looking wave file. He did a fantastic job. Big thanks to him! The recording is excellent. One of the few times "Just Like You Imagined" was performed on the tour. Transferred in 16/48 for archival purposes, and what the master DAT was recorded at.

Thanks again to FULLMETAL for sending me over his master DATs to be transferred. A good recording from the first show of the US tour of the Fragility Tour. Love that "The New Flesh" bassline is played during the pre-show music. No EQ'ing was done to the recording. 16/44.1 kHZ is what the master tape was recorded at. So this can be burned to a CD for play.

Fantastic audio from the brief club shows in Europe. Hardly any crowd noise in this recording. FULLMETAL let me borrow his master tape to transfer myself. Initially, we had a 1st gen DAT on the archive. Nice to have a master DAT rip. The DAT clone that was on here initially had fade in/outs added by the taper. This is from the master DAT, so this is longer (~4 min). The recording now starts at the first basslines of "The New Flesh." Show was recorded in 16/44.

Thanks again to FULLMETAL for sending me over his master DATs to be transferred. A good recording from one of the first shows of the Fragility Tour. A better recording than the MD source that was on the archive. No EQ'ing was done to the recording. The only thing that was worked on was the end of "Pinion" into "Somewhat Damaged" as there was some clipping from the record volume was too high. Used automatic phaser to clean it up and add some more dynamic range back to it. The master tape was recorded at 16/44, which can be burned to CD.

This is a line out transfer of the MTV Music Awards performance. Taped by Fullmetal from the TV to a DAT recorder. This is Nine Inch Nails' first performance since 1996.

Thanks to FULLMETAL, this is an upgrade from the cable > VHS > DVD copy of this performance we have on the archive. You can read FULLMETAL's notes below. This will definitely be the best version of the performance at the MTV VMAs we will get of this. There are no channel watermarks in the bottom right corner like the previous versions. From FULLMETAL,"My source was either DirecTV or the in-house cable feed at Techwood recorded on D2 tape. Bumped that D2 to Digibeta sometime in 2001 and encoded that Digibeta to QuickTime mid 2018." This is definitive version of this recording.

Just as I add the DVD to the archive, FULLMETAL responds to my update saying, "I never sent you over the retransfer of this show?" I honestly had no idea that he filmed this! He transferred this with way better equipment a few years ago and the quality is night and day better than the DVD that is circulating! You can actually make out the stage and even though it's a rather obstructed view, it's an amazing piece of footage from the Lollapalooza Tour! Thank you to Fullmetal for sending this over!
