Taper's notes, "Nine Inch Nails put on one hell of a show to a capacity crowd of 7,000 at Planet Hollywood's vacuous Zappos Theater. Even sitting in the 5th row of the balcony, I felt somewhat detached because the stage was so fucking far away. The show would have definitely benefited from video screens. Sadly, there were none. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the Spiral era heavy setlist. Highlights for me me included the oft-forgotten "Down In It" and the almost never played "Sunspots"! We got the Hesitation Marks era version of "Sanctified", which was really cool. I would have loved to hear "The Frail / The Wretched". Sadly, not on this night. I should have made the trip to Santa Barbara Bowl. I was not up for the 750 mile trek. I did finally get to hear AATCHB live! Nice transition into "Hurt". A solid pull off the venue's left ceiling stack. I was fortunate to have a pretty respectful crowd clustered around me for entire evening. You can hear one guy let out a brief yell after "Somewhat Damaged". Some loud clapping in the right channel on occasion. Trent's vocals are nice and clear."

Another amazing recording by mixter. Glad this mini-concert was recorded in full as the Jimmy Kimmel broadcast was only the first two songs. Here are the taper's notes: "I taped from the left stack and was positioned in an ideal spot of three deep about 15 feet away from the speaker. The viewsucked but the sound was amazing. I feel that this recording is an accurate account. Most of the audience cheering was wellbehind me except for the occasional shout. No phasing this time around. A slight amount of EQ was applied in Har-Bal toremove a bit of the bass."

Mixter was lucky enough to win one of the raffle tickets at the record store giveaway the day prior. He unfortunately was caught at the door with his recording gear so he had to opt for his cellphone to record the audio. This is a historic show, being the smallest show NIN has played in a long time and this is important to archive on ninlive. The audio is ok, obviously being recorded on a cellphone it is brick walled at certain parts but it's still listenable if you want to listen in. I appreciate Mixter_ taking the time to upload it and try and capture the full performance in some form after being popped at the door.
