Trent: How are you this evening? TY once again for coming out. I'll share with you... a little observation of touring. You know, we get ready for tour, you know, we... we feel an obligation to do the best we can do and we try to, we reahease hard, we try to get a cool setlist together, we spend time thinking about that. And then we come out and play songs... And when you play a song, sometimes you get put into a trance, you know, because you get taken different places - often where you were when you wrote the song. And it's not just playing well, it's not just trying to sing in tune, it's you're fucking turn into... something else. You know? And sometimes it's fun, sometimes it feels great, sometimes it fucking feels scary. Right, just now I feel like I'm in a place that's not very good, you know, 'cause I was... We have a lot of stuff in this set that was written from a place where I wasn't very good, but um... Not trying to Kanye West you here... Just thought I'd share an observation. We gonna play a song now... that was also written in a not very great time. Um, back in 95... We had been touring Downward Spiral for, I don't know, about a year and a half. And it was a great time, and it was a terrible time, and it was a great time, and... I had worked on a little nice drug addiction. I was in a place where it was still kinda, still kinda fun... It hadn't gotten turned into what it was gonna turn into. And I got a phone call, it was a call I will never forget, that... I'd just got done saying "We not gonna tour anymore, I gotta take a break." And it was David Bowie on the phone calling ME! He knew who I was somehow. And he said, "I've made a weird album, and I wanna tour it, and the only band I wanna tour with is Nine Inch Nails," and I said... "Let's go!" And on that tour, the Outside tour of 95, I uh... You know, a lot of pretty great things happened. And one of those things was meeting a dear friend and an incredible musician Mike Garson. He's here with us tonight. We uh... We got together a few years later and we worked on this song.

First time since 2009-09-10 (with Mike Garson)
  • 11. On The Wing
  • 12. La Mer

Trent: TY. TY. We gonna get a little weird, you know. We uh... gonna play a song we've always like a lot but we... I think maybe I fucked it up when I recorded it, I made it too noisy and kinda hid the song... So we gonna try a different version tonight and see, see what happens. Literally anything could happen right now, so we'll see what happens.
  • 13. In This Twilight
    (with Mike Garson)
    Trent: Mike Garson!
  • 14. Copy Of A
Trent: TY! Mood shift. Alright. It's a song we wrote about ten years ago and I thought the world was ending... Who the fuck could guess what was gonna happen?

Trent: TY! TYVM. Feel like we've gotten to know each other a bit here. I wanna take a second to thank The Soft Moon and Jesus And Mary Chain for sharing the stage tonight. TY guys for putting up with all the bullshit to get tickets, and for still giving a shit, now. TYVM. I wanna take a second to introduce the band: RF! AC! IR! AR! Appreciate you guys being here all these years and allowing us to do some unpredictable things. TY. TYVVM. We gonna... get things very quiet, for the next music. Gonna be quiet.

First recording to be released from night 5. It's a good recording that was recorded from the rear of the venue. Thank you to Califryed for sending this over and of course, recording the show.

Both of these recordings were given to me after the show. I mucked up my audience tape, so that was a no go. Declicking these things can be a chore and I am finally finishing doing so (August lol). The sound is really good on this one and did my best to remove the click track. I have matrixed these two recordings together and I feel like the audience recording supplements the IEM feed nicely. Out of the two LA shows I saw, this one was my favorite. Somewhat Damaged > Mr. Self Destruct was NASTY!!!! Wasn't expecting that at all. Also Mike Garson coming on stage to play Just Like You Imagined! It was my first time hearing that live. I jammed out to that track. I was about the only one around me that was losing their shit when I heard the opening tones, lol.

Given to me after the show, I was hoping to matrix this with another audience recording from the night. I mucked up my audience tape, so that was a no go. Declicking these things can be a chore and I am finally finishing doing so (August lol). The sound is really good on this one and did my best to remove the click track.

This is probably one of three blunders I have ever done taping. Didn't have my recording rig handy and DM was kind enough to send over his recorder. I didn't check all the settings and the recorder was set to mid instead of 'low' and I paid for it. Totally brickwalled recording and the mic jack came loose a bit during the encores and it's riddled with static. I am hoping that another recording pops up from this date. This was my favorite set out of the run in LA. This will not be released. But is on here for the sake of archival purposes. It's a terrible recording that is not salvagable (I don't think, someone can take a stab at this brickwalled tape who has more experience than I).
