I wasn't sure who was going to take over the reigns of the ninlive project in Boston.. But I got an email from RJW a week or so before the shows and I asked and he said, "sure why not?" I was so pumped. He has been a huge supporter of the archive since day 1 and we have exchanged many conversations and he is a huge die hard, you can tell. So it was extra special to have him record the two nights in Boston. I am excited to see his tour journal entries too! Night two's recording is DIALED IN. I hope that RJW is very proud of this recording! I am so pumped to add this one. It's amazing. I love when I get a recording and the waveform looks uniform! Really great tape and you can tell from the samples. IMO, this is one of the best sets of the tour. It literally has everything and a few rare cuts in there. The Great Destroyer is just an assault on the ears. Atticus is such a great addition to the band. So pumped about this recording, it really is great! Thank you to RJW for recording in Boston!

So it was extra special to have him record the two nights in Boston. I am excited to see his tour journal entries too! Little bit of trouble on the first night (to note, the second night he NAILED IT!). It seemed that the recorder's levels ran a bit hot all night and the bass is brickwalled. I did my best to fix the waveform and reduce the bass a bit. But once you're brickwalled, that's it. There will be other recordings out there from this night, that I know of. But the ninlive project was supposed to capture the events with its imperfections of first time tapers. Although a bit rough, it's great to have a tape of the show. Because you never know when there won't be a source and it's better to have no source than none! I can't thank RJW enough for taking the time to do this.
