Good recording but there is some phasing here and there because of getting bumped and really not caring how well the tape turned out as it was my last NIN show I would go to, so I just stopped and enjoyed the show. The tape is more for the purpose of doing it rather than releasing it. There are better sources than mine I am sure.
Notes
11 Ft. up on a stand clipped on each side of Mr. Potato Head's glasses.

My last video from the run of shows in 2009. This was supposedly the last show in the States for the foreseeable future, until they announced the last run of club shows. It was epic. Over 2 hours of NIN at Bonnaroo. This was the first and only time that I ran a mic stand for NIN and it was a treat. We had about 3-4 other tapers there as well and it was great to talk prior to the set. I can't remember why I didn't record the beginning of "Home" I think it was because I was having difficulty starting my DAT recorder with the ALD recording I was doing (it's not great, trust me) as well. Thankfully, Frank has added in the beginning edits from some other footage from the show. The only two incomplete parts are during "The Way Out Is Through" because I wanted to enjoy the song and also "Dead Souls" when I had to switch batteries. It was show #9 on this tour for me filming and my arms were dead tired as I had to hold it over my head the entire show to film from the board. Big thanks to Frank for getting all of this synced up and edited. I revisited the 2009 audio master for this, as I felt the original release was pretty boomy. It was nice to listen to this show back. A really great show. I think it ended at 0130-0200 in the morning.
Notes
I was lucky at a few shows and had some great seats by the soundboard. These were just right of it and the sound was great during the night. A great recording, very clear and good stereo separation. There are some screamers here and there but overall the tape is very enjoyable.

This was added back on June 27th, 2009 as a shitty iPod video conversion. Remember that was a thing at one point? lol. Anyways, thanks to Frank G. for taking a drive of the archive's collection and editing the footage for me to something that I could present on the archive. This is my film from the show and there are a lot of great close ups and the video follows the music well. There are points where I get pretty lazy and don't zoom in much as my arm was started to get tired (mostly during Burn and Gave Up). A lot of nice close ups though and the view is not obstructed at all. DVD version also available.
Notes
A great recording. No crowd noise, only at the end of the songs. As many other tapers suffered wind noise on their recordings this one has no wind present on the tape. This was the closest I have ever sat for a NIN show and I really thought because I was so close the sound would not be picked up from the stacks. I was wrong.

10 years ago today, I filmed one of the best captures of Nine Inch Nails I have done, ever. Thanks to the open taping policy, I took advantage of it by bringing my Sony HD camera and DPA mics in to 9 shows on this tour. For being a one camera angle there are some great close ups of each band member and I was really hoping to get more HD sources from this show to mix in together. Since I am infatuated with everything NIN live, I knew when to pan to different members to get the best shot for each song. Alas, not many sources came out and I sat on the HD version of this for many years. This performance is special with a lot of my favorite tracks during the show. This is also the performance where Robin destroys his guitar at the end of The Becoming! Two little hiccups with the recording during the end of 'March of the Pigs' and 'I Do Not Want This' because the sound was so intense that it shut off the hard drive based camera! Only released in SD on a DVD this is the first time it has been seen in its high definition form. Big thanks to Frank G who has been working tirelessly to get this footage formatted and edited for archival purposes and the ability to share it with the NIN community. Enjoy the recording.
Notes
Its a good recording but omni's are not the choice for this spot. Sounds a bit distant but its enjoyable. Someone came late to the show during "Discipline" and her purse snagged my mic cable and ripped it out of my R09HR. So I lost about 12 seconds of discipline.

Thanks to Frank G. for taking a drive of the archive's collection and editing the footage for me to something that I could present on the archive. This is my film from the show. I also ran audio from my seat, but was disappointed in the quality. My omnis sounded very distant. I was always very fond of ninslave's minidisc recording from this show, Frank synced up that audio to my video.
Notes
One of my best recordings. The seats were great and directly in front of the soundboard. Had the mics HRTF and it produced great stereo separation between the stacks. Everything is clear and only a little audible chatter is present on the tape.

Anyways, thanks to Frank G. for taking a drive of the archive's collection and editing the footage for me to something that I could present on the archive. This is my film from the show and there are a lot of great close ups and the video follows the music well. This was the 3rd day in a row of shows. Chicago > Indianapolis > Clarkston. Lots of driving in 3 days, but worth it. This show was one of the shorter sets during the NIN|JA tour and also pretty sunny out! I had a great seat near the soundboard and this was one of my favorite audio recordings I have done during this tour. There is a DVD version floating around as well. But that is in standard def. Enjoy the new edit!
Notes
As I was a bit off to the side all I got was the left stack. To me at least it sounds distant even though I was 20 rows away from the stack. The recording is good though, no screamers or talkers, just the music.

Notes
An ok recording. There are a lot of talkers around and a few screamers/sing along fans. Still a very enjoyable recording.

Anyways, thanks to Frank G. for taking a drive of the archive's collection and editing the footage for me to something that I could present on the archive. Being on the floor its hard to keep your camera still above your head to get a shot above the crowd as well as having people bump into your arm. So at times it shaky, but there are some good zoom in shots here and there. Overall, for a 107 minute show, I think the camera work was decent and was happy with the results. This show on the tour was a NIN Only show. Jane's Addiction was slated to play Lollapalooza that August and due to contractual agreements, could not play in Chicago prior. This was the start of a 3 day NIN road trip with my brother and I that we called "the nin binge." It was a great trip, seeing them here, Indianapolis and then back home in Michigan. It was a lot of driving, but a great time seeing our favorite band. Also noted that there was an encore on the setlist that sadly was not done because of curfew. There is a DVD version floating around as well. But that is in standard def. Enjoy the new edit!
Notes
Good recording, there are two instances where a very loud screamer comes into play "The Frail" and during "28 Ghosts IV". Very responsive to the bass and its a very warm recording.

This was remastered by Aaron Short, we gave him both raw audio sources and he matrixed them together to give you the audio for the Thisoneisonus release Another Version of The Truth: Vegas.
Notes
Good recording, the only problem was during 1,000,000 when I accidently hit pause instead of the backlight button. So, the recording skips for about half a second.

Notes
The recording is good, there are some parts where there is a bit of phasing going on (mainly on The Great Destroyer). I was really excited to see that song. It was a very cool venue because I think only about 4,000 people were there in attendance. Awesome show.
Notes
Great recording, from being FOB there is really nice stereo separation and being in the audience it was probably the best performance of In This Twilight I witnessed.
